We are at the forefront of a revolution in understanding pain. At its core is the understanding that chronic pain is created and generated by the brain and the nervous system, and is deeply connected to our emotions and thoughts about pain. Understanding this mechanism can serve as a significant and powerful key to healing

Articles and research by Dr. Nir Brosh

Emotion-related pain is real. In fact, there is no such thing as “the pain is all in your head,” since all pain is physical. Our brain and nervous system have an intrinsic ability to generate pain and perpetuate it. When we deeply understand this mechanism, we can release it and finally  heal the pain.

The Power to Heal Pain

Doctors have believed for many years that proper medical treatment, based on accurate diagnosis, is supposed to lead to healing. However, the "epidemic of pain" often poses a nontrivial challenge to the medical system and can be a serious disappointment for patients. Does this indicate a failure in our diagnostic process?

The first to discover this diagnostic failure, as early as the 1980s, was the American doctor John Sarno. He helped numerous patients heal their pain by teaching them about the close connections between the body and mind in the creation of pain.

Thanks to Dr. Sarno and those who followed in his footsteps, we now have a better  understanding of the mechanism of pain through cutting-edge, groundbreaking scientific research, enabling us to alleviate and heal pain in elegant ways that are mostly self-applicable.

In this book, you will find up-to-date explanations of the mechanism of pain creation in our bodies, along with techniques and easy exercises for self-application that will help you influence the pain mechanism with your own power and understanding. Applying these principles, which have helped many worldwide to heal from chronic pain symptoms, can enable a gradual and safe progression on the path to healing and a return to a life of health, vitality, and full activity.
